From Der Spiegel: France has nuclear retaliation option

"After months of unusual reticence, French President Jacques Chirac on Thursday returned to character. In a speech about France's nuclear policy, given on the atomic submarine base Ile-Longue off the coast of Brittany, he made clear that countries which support terrorism or desire weapons of mass destruction are at risk of a nuclear attack."

The judge said: “Dr Sturge did not find D muddled about her family. She told Dr Sturge that she is lucky because she has two mummies. She knows that she grew in her mother’s tummy and she knows that Mr B is ‘Daddy’ and calls him that.

Iran plans Holocaust conference

"TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran, whose president has denied the Holocaust, said Sunday it would hold a conference to examine the scientific evidence concerning Nazi Germany's extermination of 6 million Jews."

Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, is also famous for wanting to move Israel to Europe and may soon have nuclear weapons.

""It is a strange world. It is possible to discuss everything except the Holocaust," Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi told reporters."

Free speech speech alive and kicking in Iran! A place where the government thinks that it is good and  proper to kill rape victims! Oh! how emascualted and misunderstood you must feel Mr. Asefi that most of the world do not take holocaust-deniers seriously.

"The Foreign Ministry plans to hold a conference on the scientific aspect of the issue to discuss and review its repercussions."

I wonder what they mean, when they say repercussions? Is it the formation of the state of Israel, the only semi-free state in the area gruesome dictatorships, they are alluding to or what? Repercussions. That's a sinister sounding word.

And in terms of the "scientific aspects" refferred to I guess they will have the two "traditional" viewpoints represented 1) those who denied the Holocaust and 2) those who say that it happened, and that there is only one problem with it and that is that the Final Solution, wasn't all that final. And with 2 viewpoints that seems to be opposite represented you have the mock resemblance of some sort of "scientific" debate going on.

Reindeer owners received a total of NOK 26.4 million (USD 3.9 million) for 11,400 tame animals that they claim were lost to predators in the time period April 1, 2004-April 1, 2005, newspaper VG reports. Of these, 2,000 were reportedly lost to golden eagles.

I guess these eagles are the size of an F-16, fully loaded and twice as deadly...
